Even with the best hearing aids, some people with hearing loss may struggle to hear if they are in noisy surroundings or the sound is low. With the Phonak Roger On V2, you can get more apparent, more audible audio without stress.
This is a state-of-the-art microphone that provides high-quality sound using one of its five different modes. The device can work in different environments and can stream from multiple audio devices directly into your hearing aids.
What makes the Phonak Roger On V2 stand out is that it is compatible with almost any hearing aid, regardless of brand, giving all people with hearing loss a chance to experience sound differently. For the device to work, you will need to pair it with a Roger Neck Loop Receiver or a Roger X Receiver.
To function effectively, the Roger On V2 is fitted with four microphones and various buttons, including a function button and a clip connect button. It also features a charging input for recharging the device.
The device’s battery life is approximately eight hours, and its significant range ensures you get clear audio conveniently and with plenty of flexibility.
You can use the Roger On V2 for online calls or meetings without worrying about picking up surrounding voices or noise. Some of the ways you can use the device include:
You can use the device by placing it flat on a desk. When placed on a horizontal surface, the device will automatically activate multibeam technology to pick up your voice from all directions, giving you the freedom to move around, knowing that your voice and communication will remain clear and unchanged.
You can also use the Phonak Roger On V2 by placing it on a docking station. You will need to ensure the device is pointing in your direction and picking up only your voice. This will significantly reduce background voice that may occur in your surroundings.
You can also use the device by clipping it to your clothes, such as your shirt or blouse. The device forms a short directional beam that points up toward your mouth, ensuring your voice is captured accurately. This method provides the best pick-up of all the modes.
The Phonak Roger On V2 has different modes that allow you to use it in different environments. The five modes available on the device include:
In this mode, you can use the device in lecture rooms or during lessons. You can pass the device on to your lecturer, teacher, or gym instructor to clip to their clothing for direct voice streaming. You can also use the lanyard that comes with the device and ask the instructor to hang it around their neck.
In this mode, the device helps minimise background noise by using the 360-degree sound function in its four 6-directional microphones. You can choose which directions are required to prioritise speech from either the front, left, or all around.
In this mode, you can casually point the device in the direction of a person to transmit their voice into your hearing aid. This works even at distances of up to 2 meters.
In the Stream TV mode, you can insert the device into the included docking station and into your TV using the optical cable that comes with the device to stream directly into your aids. This function doesn’t affect the TV volume for the other viewers in the same room. An alternative way to stream audio through your TV directly into your aids is to simply use the Digital Audio Cable or the Audio 3.5mm jack, which is also included.
You can use the 3.5mm audio cable to stream audio and phone calls from multiple audio devices. These modes can be manually changed using the button interface and choosing the icon that suits your mode.
Additionally, the device has other vital features, like position technology, which automatically switches modes when you pick it up.
Besides using the device in conversations, you can also use it to stream audio directly from your TV into your aids without affecting any other TV viewers in the same room.
For this function, you can use the docking station and the audio cable that comes with the device. You can also control your TV audio volume and transmission when using the smart app.
